Livable cities. Smart traffic for smart cities. Solution for the global urban traffic.
This is a research and development project, which was done with TU Graz under the supervision and owner of the idea Prof. Lutz Sparowitz.
Project consists of the two solutions of todays moder city life. The first one is QuickMotion, which solves the problems of urban traffic congestions and the SmartVillage is a concept of a livable smart city.
Our main task was to develop an efficient workflow for a parametrical planing and design of the QuickMotion infrastructure mesh as well as to quickly be able to make parametrical urban design of a newly build SmartVillage. Such workflow enables quick adaptations of a theoretical model onto a existing or a new planed city, making quick updates or upgrades of the model in any planing phase. Next, but not least important task was to give an architectural quality to the theoretical model and to visualise and present the solutions accordingly.
First step was to make a data base for a chosen city, which was done in form of the GIS meta data. On the basis of this input data and preliminary analysis the QuickMotion infrastructure was generated parametrically and laid over the city. The new generated GIS meta data enables micro and macro traffic simulation in regard of optimising the planed QuickMotion infrastructure. At the same time this generated GIS meta data enables also an optimal generation of urban city model as well as simulation and analysis of both impacts of the solutions working together.
The QuickMotion reasearch and concept development, with prototypes beeing made, is already finished in 2017 and ready for implementations in mega cities.
The SmartVillage concept development of a livable smart city is still in progress.
